SCENAR therapy works on the cellular level of the body promoting healing and restoring balance to the body functions.
SCENAR also balances the mental, emotional and physical aspects of a person.
SCENAR therapy involves the use of a small hand held device. This device was invented during the 1960s for use in the Russian Space programme by Russian scientists. As the machine evolved since then it is now widely used by health practitioner's in Western Europe.
The version used in this practise is ACUSEN ( Adaptive Compact Universal Self Correcting Electro Neuro- Stimulator).
The Acusen device uses bipolar electrical impulses, which are similar to the body's own nerve cell impulses to create a biofeedback response to allow the body to heal and regain it's own self balance.
Each cell in the body emits a signal of a certain frequency when healthy. When there is trauma or disease to these cells the frequency of its signals changes.
When the Acusen device is placed on the skin, the discharged signals are constantly fluctuating in response to the changes it perceives through the skin contact from the cells. These signals then form a biofeedback system where the necessary energy levels required to recharge the impaired cells are managed by the device. This now sets off a rebalancing and self regulatory function of the cells.
Since the pulses of the Acusen appliance are very similar to the natural electric pulses of the nerves , it tricks the body into believing it is energising its own cells and leads to more rapid results, faster healing time and positive, beneficial outcomes to a person's health.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR VISIT
The therapist asks a few questions regarding the health issue concerned to get a better idea about what's happening with the client.
The patient is asked to remove their shirt so that the client's back can be accessed. The back is worked on since this area houses the spine where the nervous system can be energised. It also links to different organs of the body according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. These centers are worked on first before proceeding to the affected areas.
The therapy begins with the Acusen device being placed on the skin. Since each person's body responds differently, the client is asked to report when they feel a tingling sensation. This procedure is NOT painful in any way.
As the treatment proceeds the client will be asked to note any changes in sensations.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT
Sometimes the patient can report a marked decrease in symptoms of pain after the treatment.
Sometimes the patient can report an increase in pain intially after the treatment the the pain rapidly subsides or completely disappears. This time period varies from patient to patient.
The relief of symptoms vary depending on the length of time the pain was present, the severity of the pain.
It is the patient's duty to monitor the exact activities that triggers the pain sensation, thus after the treatment the client should avoid activities that increase the pain to allow the body to heal. Then the patient can resume normal activities taking the necessary precautions.
